Morningstar

Research firm Morningstar announced it has named Jason Dubinsky at its chief financial officer. Previously, Dubinsky was CFO of planning and central operations for Walgreens Boots Alliance.

City of Chicago

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel appointed Danielle DuMerer to be the city’s next chief information officer. DuMerer was previously Chicago's CTO, and began working with the city in 2008 as an IT project manager. She takes over for Brenna Berman, who left to be the executive director of UI Labs' City Digital program.

Uptake

Uptake announced it has hired Leo Brubaker as its chief commercial officer, overseeing sales and development teams. Brubaker previously worked as COO at adtech company Centro. Brubaker spent more than 10 years at Centro, beginning as the company's VP of finance.

Dose

Chicago media company Dose has hired former Viacom exec Chris Colarossi as its SVP, brand partnerships, in the East and Midwest markets. He'll be tasked with scaling and expanding the company’s offerings of premium branded content and social analytics, the company said.

Vertex Analytics

Vertex Analytics, a Chicago-based IT services company, announced it has named Stacey Kacek as its next CEO. Kacek joined Vertex Analytics as chief operating officer in early 2017, and prior to that was the CEO of software company Microsystems.

Outcome Health

Newly minted unicorn Outcome Health just promoted Vivek Kundra to COO. Previously working as Outcome's executive vice president of provider solutions, Kundra will now head up revenue, product and operations. He previously worked at Salesforce, and prior to that he served under former President Barack Obama as the first CIO of the United States.

NuCurrent

NuCurrent, a startup that produces wireless power transfer antennas, has hired Jim Ticknor as vice president of operations. Previously, Ticknor served as vice president of operations at UICO and vice president of worldwide operations and supply chain at 3Com Corporation.

Truss

Truss, a Chicago-based commercial real estate tech startup, announced it has hired Nicole Weldon as its regional vice president of office brokerage. Prior to joining Truss, Weldon was a commercial real estate advisor at CRESA Global Inc. and a tenant advisor at Bespoke Commercial Real Estate.
