Outcome Health Just Promoted a New COO

Outcome Health just promoted an ex-Salesforce executive (and former US Chief Information Officer) to chief operating officer at the fast growing healthtech startup.

The startup announced Vivek Kundra has been promoted to COO. Kundra joined Outcome Health in January 2017 as executive vice president of provider solutions, where he led the teams and go-to-market strategy that delivered growth and innovation for Outcome Health’s membership of 41,000 practices, hospitals and health systems, the startup said. In the expanded COO role, Kundra will also head up revenue, product and operations.

Before coming to Outcome Health, Kundra worked as an executive vice president at Salesforce for five years, leading international growth and go-to-market strategy across a variety of industries. Before that he served under former President Barack Obama as the first CIO of the United States, where he managed over $80 billion in technology investments.

This move is fresh off Outcome Health's $500 million funding round earlier this year, valuing the startup at $5 billion. The startup makes tablets and content for doctor's waiting rooms and exam rooms to help patients better understand their healthcare, and partners with 231,000 healthcare providers nationwide.

“Vivek is an exceptional growth leader with a unique skillset to drive large-scale technology transformation and revenue growth for the business,” said Rishi Shah, CEO of Outcome Health in a release. “As we scale to 70 percent of all physician practices with our platform, Vivek’s leadership will deepen our commitment to customers at the core of our strategy and align operational investments during this period of rapid growth.”
