NowSecure
NowSecure, a Chicago-based mobile app security software company, announced it has hired Alan Snyder as its next CEO. Snyder was previously CEO of BoxTone, a mobility management platform that was acquired by Good Technology. NowSecure has raised $12.5 million since it was founded in 2009.
Project44
Chicago logistics startup Project44 announced it has hired Mike Reed as its chief strategy officer. Reed, who was previously the SVP at Echo Global Logistics, will spearhead Project44’s expansion efforts, the company said. Founded in 2014, Project44 has raised over $10 million in funding.
Shiftgig
Shiftgig, a Chicago startup that connects businesses with available hourly workers, announced it has hired Rick Bowman as its CTO. Bowman has held senior technology leadership roles at Deloitte Consulting, HelloWallet, and Morningstar, where he most recently served as chief software officer.
JLL
Chicago-based commercial real estate firm JLL announced it has hired Brian Fallon to help expand the company's Internet of Things expertise. In his new role as business development executive, he'll work with JLL's Technology Solutions team to help companies create data-driven, connected and highly productive workplaces, JLL said. Fallon previously worked at IBM.
Centro
Centro, a Chicago-based ad tech company, announced two new executive promotions this month. Tyler Kelly, the fourth employee hired at Centro, has been named president; he was previously senior vice president of client development. Centro also announced that Scott Neslund will be named COO, previously serving as Centro's executive vice president of client services.
Vibes
Vibes, a Chicago-based mobile marketing technology company, announced this month it has hired Sophie Vu as chief marketing officer and Bill Scott as senior vice president, international. Vu has previously held executive roles at Sparkcentral and Kony, while Scott previously worked at Gild and GetJar. Vibes was founded in 1998 and has raised $60 million in funding. It counts Chipotle, The Gap, Old Navy and The Home Depot among its clients.
Fixer
Fixer, an on-demand handyman service, officially launched this month and is led by Mike Evans, the founder of Grubhub. Fixer charges customers $80 an hour--but it doesn't round to the hour, and doesn't charge a site visit fee. Each "fixer" must go through four levels of screening processes, and areas of repair include electrical, plumbing, bathrooms, exteriors, furniture and interiors.
Ensono
Ensono, a Downers Grove-based hybrid IT services provider, announced it has hired Marc Capri to be the company's president. He will oversee global functions and client engagement, the company said. Capri previously held executive positions at CenturyLink and Savvis.
