Startup Grind will host Founder and CEO of Snapsheet, the auto insurance industry’s largest platform provider of virtual claims settlement solutions (and named to our list of 11 startups making Chicago the hub of auto innovation!). World Business Chicago, Chicago Sister Cities International and the Illinois Technology Association present a seminar "Expanding Your Talent Pool with International Employees". For businesses, the process to hire international students may seem cumbersome as they attempt to navigate the legal process for employing foreign workers. This workshop seeks to help employers learn about the process to hire these valuable workers and expand the pool of talent from which they can grow their businesses. In honor of Black History Month - and right on the heels of Women's History Month - Walker's Legacy and General Assembly are proud to partner to present a panel to discuss one of the fastest growing entrepreneurial segments in the nation: Black women entrepreneurs. This lunchtime panel will feature amazing African-American female entrepreneurs who will share their entrepreneurial journeys, tools for success and strategies for growth. The program will also include a brief discussion of Black Women Entrepreneurs: Past and Present Conditions, research commissioned by the Small Business Administration and the National Women's Business Council and prepared by Walker's Legacy. The Chicago City Data User meetup group, organized by Microsoft Chicago's Director of Technology and Civic Innovation, Adam Hecktman, will present a talk on "Effective Data Visualization". In this session, Microsoft's David Giard will explain some most important guidelines about data visualization and how you can apply those guidelines to your own data. You will learn what to include, what to remove, and what to avoid in your charts, graphs, maps and other images that represent data. The event is free to attend and will be held at Microsoft's offices at the AON Center, starting 6pm.

Chicago AI Practitioners and Investors present their third meetup, "The Future of AI". Organized by Pritzker Group Venture Capital investor David Vandergift, the event will feature a panel discussion with Adam Waytz, a psychologist and Associate Professor at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, and Piotr Gmytrasiewicz, Associate Professor at the UIC Department of Computer Science. A second part of the event will feature a Tech Demo with Jay Leib from NexLP, who will talk about how his team is using AI to disrupt the legal and risk/compliance industries.
