Ugly Christmas sweater season is fast approaching, and if you haven't found your hideous holiday outfit yet, Uber wants to hook you up--for free.
This week Uber is launching what it calls Five Days of Gifting, where the ridesharing giant will bring Chicagoans a different gift each day of the week. Different gifts include Birchbox, Flowers for Dreams, and yes, ugly Christmas sweaters.
Here's how it works: Enter code GIFTSONTAP in the payments tab of the Uber app, and then at 11 a.m. each day open the app and tap 5 DAYS OF GIFTING at the bottom of the screen. You'll then request the chance to have a gift sent to you, and if you're connected with a driver the gift will be delivered to your doorstep.
Uber says gift availability is limited, so no guarantees you'll get paired up with a driver.
Here's the Five Days of Gifting schedule:
Monday: Birchbox or BirchboxMan with curated beauty and grooming samples
Tuesday: Flowers for Dreams with a locally crafted bouquet of winter greens and seasonal stems
Wednesday: Framebridge + Ork Posters with Chicago neighborhood maps from ORK posters
Thursday: Chicago-themed ugly Christmas sweater from Tipsy Elves
Friday: UE BOOM 2 wireless Bluetooth speaker from Ultimate Ears
