Chicago Inno Approved: The Startup Events You Need to Know This Week

After the Thanksgiving holiday, the workweek is back in full swing. Keep your networking game strong with these Chicago Inno approved events.

Tuesday

Founder Night Out is hosting its next tech meetup at Labriola Café Tuesday. Founders can meet other local entrepreneurs and tech CEOs, and share business ideas and insights. The event is sponsored by the Founder Institute and Labriola Cafe, which will provide light appetizers. More info here.

Chicago startup uBack, an app that makes it easier to donate to non-profits, is hosting a meetup at Lagunitas Brewery for "Giving Tuesday." To reserve a spot at the event you must donate $30 to a Chicago nonprofit of your choice through the app. The event will feature networking and attendees will enjoy drinks, appetizers and chances to win raffle prizes. Wednesday

Chicago-based LaunchPad Lab is hosting a meetup Wednesday at its River North office. The event looks to bring together those in the Chicago tech community for a night of conversation around the latest in tech innovation. More info here.

The Lincoln Network and Illinois Policy are hosting an event at 1871 Wednesday titled Can Tech Innovators Fix Criminal Justice? The panel discussion will answer questions like: How is the tech community already contributing to criminal justice reform? What policy changes could help expand opportunities for those currently or formerly incarcerated? And how can private initiatives expand opportunities? More info here.

An event Wednesday at Braintree's Merchandise Mart headquarters will teach you how to launch a career in data. A panel will discuss why understanding data in today's world is critical and how you can build a career in this rapidly growing field. The event will cover key events, companies, people, current issues and career paths in the industry. More info here.

Thursday

Blue Sky is holding its latest tech networking event Thursday at Workspring in the Loop. Tickets are $3.50 and cover Gentleman Jack signature cocktails, beer, wine and passed hors d'oeuvres. More info here.

Chicago tech company SingleHop is hosting a free concert featuring Cage the Elephant at Park West to celebrate its 10-year anniversary. The event is for founders, leaders and tech employees, and attendees must register with a work email and up to 10 people per company may attend. More info here.
