It's a pretty light week of events for the tech community in Chicago. Although Thanksgiving may be the focus for the next few days, be sure not to miss some of the great tech and startup events happening around the city before and after turkey day!

Sunday

Kick off the week at the 2016 Young Tech Challenge, an opportunity for Chicago's young innovators (age 8-22) to submit and present their toy tech product to a team of expert toy developers. Toys can be created on any platform, including mobile, console, and PC, but they can also be built with Lego, robotics, or any kind of tech. For more details, click here.

Monday

On Monday night, there will be a fireside chat with 1871 CEO Howard Tullman and David Yang, Co-Founder and CEO of engineering bootcamp Fullstack Academy. The event is taking place in 1871's Auditorium and is open to the public. For more information, click here.

Tuesday

Fullstack Academy is hosting an information session on coding bootcamps. Are they for you? The information session will discuss the coding courses the Academy offers and provide advice on the ins and outs of becoming a software engineer. For more information, click here.
