Tuesday

Girl Develop it Chicago is hosting a Coffee and Code event at eSpark Learning, where coders of all levels -- beginners and experts -- are welcome to bring in whatever it is they're working on and work with other coders, or pair up with others on various exercises. For more information, click here.

Wednesday

FinTEx is having its annual science fair, and all are invited! This will be a great opportunity for guests to network with innovators in the field and learn about what tech is being developed in the Midwest. For more information, click here.

As part of Made in Chicago Week, General Assembly is hosting Chicago Eats: A Conversation with Local Legends and Food Entrepreneur at The Hatchery. A panel of food innovators will talk about all aspects of food entrepreneurship, focusing specifically on the world of consumer packaged goods. For more information, click here. Datascope Analytics is organizing Get Your Point Across: the Art of Choosing the Right Visualization for your Data, a talk with two data scientists on how to effectively use data visualization. The 3rd Annual U. Pitch Competition and Showcase, hosted by Future Founders, is taking place this week on Thursday evening. Eighteen semi-finalists will be participating in the showcase, presenting their "elevator pitch" to an audience who will vote on who should receive the "People's Choice" prize. Propllr PR is hosting Here's How: The Startup Marketing Conference. Here's How brings together marketers -- from Jellyvision, ContextMedia, GrubHub, InContext Solutions and other top tech companies -- for a series of rapid-fire presentations on specific, actionable and practical advice on PR, blogging and other marketing tactics.
