Monday

Dev Bootcamp Chicago is hosting an event on the Secrets to Crushing Your Interview. Attendees will hear from the Dev Bootcamp team about the skills needed to navigate the interview process, and people will learn about the tools and techniques to best prepare for an interview. More info here.

Startup Grind is hosting a conversation at 1871 with Ross Petersen, co-founder and CEO of Blitsy, a Chicago startup that has built an online marketplace for people to buy and sell craft supplies and produces videos designed to educate artists. General Assembly is hosting a meetup Tuesday on Demystifying Adtech. The event will explore the ways the advertising industry is impacted by emerging technologies and data, and it will include a panel with Fabian Elliott, Founder and CEO of Black Tech Mecca; Eric Whobrey, a Senior Project Manager at Centro and the President of Chicago Interactive Marketing Association; Lelia Rickling Manager of Consumer Marketing at Cars.com; and Jason DaWayne Smith, Sr. Partner and Managing Director of Digital Investment at Mindshare. Chicago VC firm Hyde Park Angels is hosting an event that brings together entrepreneurs and investors to teach you everything you need to know about early-stage investment. Attendees will learn things like how to build corporate relationships and how to secure investment capital from a Fortune 500 company. Hosted at the Illinois Technology Association, The Hackathon to End Hunger is designed for professionals and students passionate about coding, software, mobile apps, web apps, hacking big data or hacking hardware solutions. The all-day hackathon will address hunger in Cook County. More info here.
