STATS
STATS, the Chicago-based company that analyzes performance data from more than 100,000 games a year, named Helen Sun its new chief technology officer. She was previously the CTO of the commercial banking division at JPMorgan Chase.
S2G Ventures
Former Whole Foods CEO Walter Robb has joined Chicago-based venture capital firm S2G Ventures, which invests in food and agriculture companies. He will be responsible for helping S2G find and invest in entrepreneurs working to innovate in the food industry.
Centro
Chicago-based Centro, which makes digital advertising software, has promoted Matt Miller to chief financial officer. Miller has been with the company for the last six years, helping it secure VC funding, acquire two companies and expand its office into six other cities.
DMDII
The Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute has named Koushik Subramanian its director of the National Center for Cybersecurity in Manufacturing, which opened in March. Subramanian was formerly the director of risk and compliance at Uptake and a managing consultant at Trustwave, a Chicago cybersecurity company.
Wellspring
Chicago startup Wellspring, which makes scouting, licensing and investing software, has named Chris Townsend its chief marketing officer. Townsend will be responsible for global marketing, branding and communication strategy. He was most recently the former CMO at Imaginatik, a SaaS company based in the United Kingdom.
Ascent Technologies
Ascent Technologies, a Chicago regulatory tech company, has hired two new executives. Subha Sriram is joining as the vice president of product and Jeff Heine has joined as chief revenue officer. Sriram comes to Ascent from Chicago-based consulting firm SPR, where she worked as a practice advisor. Heine was previously the chief revenue officer and chief operating officer at vrsus, a Chicago law firm software company.
Vivid Seats
Vivid Seats, a Chicago startup that makes an online ticket marketplace, has named Rich Lesperance its new chief marketing officer. With more than 25 years of marketing experience, Lesperance will oversee all aspects of the company’s brand experience and consumer engagement strategy. He was previously the vice president of digital marketing and CRM at Grubhub.
Google veteran Karen Sauder has been chosen to lead Google’s expanding Chicago office. Sauder is taking over for Jim Lecinski, who recently left Google after a 12-year career with the company to become a full-time marketing professor at Northwestern University.
Opternative
Chicago online eye exam startup Opternative has hired Lori McInerney as its next chief marketing officer. McInerney was previously the VP of marketing at Shiftgig, and before that spent more than a decade at CareerBuilder.
