It may be summer break throughout Chicago, but that doesn't mean area students can't find some time to learn computer science skills before heading into the next school year. And a new resource wants to help kids find nearby tech programs like robotics and coding classes.
The Chicago City of Learning, part of Northwestern's Digital Youth Network, unveiled a new interactive map that shows where students can find computer science opportunities throughout Chicago. Built in part thanks to a $125,000 donation from the CME Group Foundation, CCOL took a look at the outside-of-school CS learning opportunities for K-12 students in Chicago and mapped where students and their parents can find maker spaces, robotics clubs, coding camps and other programs.
