Reverb
Chicago-based online music gear marketplace Reverb announced that it has hired Scott Parker as its next CTO. Parker, a former engineering manager at fellow Chicago tech company Braintree, will assume the duties that were previously split by COO Dan Melnick and former CTO Yan Pritzker. Melnick now leads Reverb’s new vinyl record marketplace, Reverb LP, and Pritzker is now director of infrastructure and in charge of scaling Reverb’s technology globally.
SpotHero
SpotHero, the Chicago-based on-demand parking startup, announced it has hired Connie Capone as its chief financial officer. Capone was previously the CFO at GeoDigital, an Atlanta-based software company in the autonomous driving space.
Raise
Chicago gift card marketplace Raise announced three executive hires: Kathleen Pierce-Gilmore, former VP and general manager of PayPal's US credit division, joined as COO and President; Tenia Davis, the former chief people officer at iManage, is taking on the same role at Raise; and Gaurav Misra, the former chief marketing officer at Vroom, joined as Raise's chief marketing officer.
Uptake
Uptake announced that it has hired Michael Donohue and Tom Anderson, two former GE c-suite executives. Donohue held multiple c-level roles at GE Power, including chief marketing officer. He’ll serve as a vice president for energy and will lead Uptake’s utilities work. Anderson was the VP of Enterprise Technology at GE Digital, chief information officer at GE Transportation and chief IT auditor at GE. He’s joining Uptake as product vice president. Uptake also announced Wednesday that Alex Byrne, who was previously a principal engineer at DNV GL, will lead the startup’s research and innovation in the wind sector.
Cars.com
Cars.com named Andy Jacobson as its new senior vice president of national sales. Jacobson most recently served as vice president of client development at Conversant LLC. He also spent eight years in various sales and marketing roles at Cars.com from 2004 to 2012, the company said.
Victory Lap
Victory Lap, a Chicago-based talent development and sales hiring marketplace, announced it has hired Mark Hancock as its president. Hancock was the former managing director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was head of U.S. mutual funds.
Luxury Garage Sale
Luxury Garage Sale has hired Trish Lukasik, the former COO at SpotHero, as its chief executive. She’ll be tasked with leading the six-year-old online consignment startup. Before SpotHero, Lukasik was the SVP and chief customer officer at PepsiCo, and also worked at Proctor & Gamble and Coca-Cola.
Rightpoint
Rightpoint, a Chicago-based digital agency and IT consulting company, has hired Rich Wood as its senior director of cloud and enterprise applications. He had previous stints at Microsoft and CMSWire.
