A popular prayer app with roots in Chicago has been blessed with a new round of funding from some like-minded individuals and funds.

Hallow, an app focused on Catholic prayer and meditation, said Thursday it raised a $50 million Series C led by Goodwater Capital with participation from Highland Capital, Colin Moran and several of Hallow's existing investors.

Eric Kim, co-founder and managing partner of Goodwater Capital, one of the most active VC firms globally, said that praying more with Hallow has led to "profound positive change" in his own life.

Hallow has now raised $105 million to date after securing a $40 million Series B in late 2021.
