Serial Chicago entrepreneur Godard Abel is behind a new software startup that helps companies with e-commerce sales, and it just raised a round of funding to grow its product.

Logik.io said Thursday it raised a $10 million seed round led by Indianapolis-based High Alpha, with additional backing from Salesforce Ventures.

The startup is led by Abel and Christopher Shutts, who both co-founded BigMachines, a software firm that sold to Oracle in 2013. Abel is serving as Logik.io's executive chairman, with Shutts operating as CEO.

It's the latest endeavor from Abel, who's also the CEO of unicorn software review platform G2, and the executive chairman of 3D product configuration startup Threekit, which just raised $35 million. Abel also founded Steelbrick, which sold to Salesforce in 2016 for $360 million.

Logik.io is a B2B e-commerce software firm that helps companies streamline their sales processes. The startup works on top of Salesforce’s CPQ (configure, price, quote) tools, and helps improve the selling experience for online brands.

High Alpha has invested in several Chicago startups, including Abel's G2, along with The Mom Project, Rheaply, LogicGate and project44.
