Copado, a Chicago-based startup making native DevOps software built on the Salesforce platform, announced it raised a new round of funding on Thursday.

The tech company raised $26 million in a Series B funding round led by Insight Partners, which also led Copado’s Series A round. Other investors in the Series B included existing investor Salesforce Ventures and new partners Lead Edge Capital, ISAI Cap Venture and Perpetual Investors.

Copado, originally founded in 2013 in Madrid, Spain, but established its Chicago headquarters two years ago, has raised $47 million to date. The new funding will be used to expand global distribution and accelerator product innovation.

Copado, which operates as a standalone business, makes a software for Salesforce users to manage and develop new features and functionality for the platform. Copado helps clients accelerate the deployment of new products on Salesforce, which simplifies the release process, increases developer productivity and maximizes return on investment.

Its clients include Amgen, Conga, Cox Communications, The Coca-Cola Company and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Copado says it has more than doubled its revenue in the last year and tripled its headcount. It has also launched programs expected to train more than 10,000 Copado-certified DevOps professionals in 2020.

Besides Spain and Chicago, Copado has offices in San Francisco, India and the United Kingdom. Globally, the company employs more than 100 people, 30 of which are in Chicago, according to Copado spokesperson Cathy Summers.

“We are building a foundation for growth based on real customer pain points that we can successfully solve for nearly any Salesforce implementation,” said Copado CEO Ted Elliott in a statement. “Copado offers the complete package to successfully implement a digital go-to-market strategy for any company.”
