As the ongoing coronavirus crisis keeps many consumers indoors, companies are relying on delivery more than ever to drive sales. And a local startup just raised a new round of funding to help retailers, grocers, restaurants and other industries streamline their logistical operations.

Bringg announced Tuesday that it raised $30 million in a Series D round. The round was led by Viola Growth with participation from existing investors Next47, Salesforce, OG Tech Ventures and GLP. Bringg has now raised more than $83 million since it was founded in 2013.

Bringg’s logistics software gives companies a more efficient way to manage their delivery operations, allowing them to plan, measure and track the entire delivery process.

Bringg, co-headquartered in Chicago and Tel Aviv, counts big-name brands like Walmart, Panera Bread, Coca-Cola and Auto Zone among its customers. The startup says it has clients in more than 50 countries.

With many of the world's companies relying on online delivery to meet current customer demand, Bringg says it's seen a 24% week-over-week increase in customer delivery volume.

“Enterprises we’ve spoken to were always aware that a big market shift was coming, but in a matter of only a few weeks that shift has fully arrived and almost everyone has been caught off guard,” Bringg CEO Guy Bloch said in a statement. “This latest round is a vote of confidence from some of the leading investors in our industry and an affirmation that the market needs us now more than ever. And that we are the leading solution to help enterprises survive this upheaval while building the necessary delivery infrastructure to meet customer needs, sustainably, into the future.”

Since the spread of the coronavirus, Bringg has rolled out several new features and initiatives to improve delivery, such as contactless delivery and helping customers repurpose retail staff to support the increased demand for deliveries.
