New Money: Business Software Review Startup G2 Crowd Raises $4.3M

Investors: Further investment from cofounders and existing investors, which include Pritzker Group Venture Capital, Chicago Ventures, and Hyde Park Venture Partners, among others.

What they do: G2 Crowd is a platform that aggregates business software reviews, offering more transparency in software purchasing decisions.  The company says it has over 100,000 user reviews read by nearly 700,000 software buyers each month.

Other details: This funding brings G2 Crowd's total funding to $15.7 million since it launched in 2012, including a $7 million Series A last year. G2 Crowd spokesperson Adam Beeson said the funds will support company growth. He also added that in 2016 G2 Crowd doubled their headcount and received three times as many product reviews as 2015.
