Kenna Security
Deal: $15 million Series B
Investors: The round was led by PeakSpan Capital, with participation from OurCrowd, US Venture Partners, Costanoa Venture Capital and Hyde Park Angels.
What they do: Kenna, which rebranded from Risk I/O last year, is a cyber security startup that helps companies measure and monitor their exposure to risk. Kenna lets businesses monitor their level of exposure to risk over time, and provides a "Risk Meter" that allows organizations to know their risk to internet breaches across all of their assets. Kenna's alert system notifies companies when risk reaches critical thresholds and prompts them to take immediate action.
Its clients include Hilton, Pepsi, Lenovo and Fannie Mae.
Other details: With the $15 million Series B, Kenna has now raised $25 million in funding. The company said in a statement that it has had two consecutive years of more than 300% growth in enterprise bookings, and it has added over a dozen new Fortune 500 customers.
"Today our platform processes over 10 billion vulnerabilities daily, allowing hundreds of customers to see their risk in real time, and more importantly remediate with confidence, increasing productivity across their organizations," Kenna CEO Karim Toubba said in a statement. "This investment will allow us to capitalize on an obvious hunger in the market."
