A Chicago-based cloud platform that allows businesses to integrate different apps with each other has been acquired by Intuit, the California-based software company who's products include QuickBooks, TurboTax, and Quicken.
itDuzzit lets companies integrate their cloud applications with one of itDuzzit's pre-built connectors, allowing them to easily do work between the applications without using code. The acquisition was announced this week on both Intuit and itDuzzit's blogs.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
It appears Intuit will incorporate itDuzzit into the QuickBooks platform, a service for small businesses that helps them manage their finances.
"The itDuzzit technology allows multiple audiences to create sophisticated integrations with very little coding required," Avi Golan, VP and GM of Intuit Partner Platform said on the company's blog. "With their technology combined with the range of QuickBooks platform services we already offer, the breadth and depth of integrations our partners can build will grow tremendously."
itDuzzit's founders Joe Dennis and Steve Mendoza will stay on and join Intuit.
"Intuit’s vision for small business services in the cloud is revolutionary – nothing short of becoming the ubiquitous operating system for small businesses in the cloud," itDuzzit's blog reads. "We’re thrilled that itDuzzit is now a fundamental part of making this vision a reality ... Together, we’ll make Intuit’s [QuickBooks Online] ecosystem more robust and accessible to developers, partners, and customers."
