Nominations for Chicago Inno's annual Fire Awards are now open.

Submit your picks here by Tuesday, June 13.

Now in its ninth year, Chicago Inno's Fire Awards recognize the innovators, change-makers, disruptors and more that have made their mark on the city's tech scene over the past year. The list of 50 companies and organizations is designed to highlight the fast-growing, game-changing firms that have made big headlines this year — whether that’s through a funding round that helped propel a company to new heights, a successful acquisition, a new product or a fund dedicated to backing the city's underrepresented founders.

The 50 Chicago-based companies, organizations and people selected for the Fire list are then presented to a panel of judges who select winners — aka Inno Blazers — who they feel have made the largest impact to the local tech ecosystem in various categories.

Some of last year's Innno Blazers included Tempus, Chicago's most valuable tech startup, which was named Chicago's top startup in health care, and LanzaTech, a Chicago cleantech firm, which was named Chicago's top deep-tech startup.

What makes a good Fire Award nominee? Those selected may have raised new funding, released an innovative product, filed several patents, emerged from difficult fundraising environment stronger than ever, made a significant hire and more.

Be sure to tell us everything we need to know about the companies and people who you see as solidifying Chicago as a hub for innovation. You may submit a nomination for someone else or self-nominate. Submit your nominations here.

We will announce the honorees this summer and at a later date name our 2023 Inno Blazers.

Any questions should be directed for Chicago Inno reporter Alex Zorn at azorn@bizjournals.com.
