The inaugural Southeast Fintech Venture Conference announced Monday the first batch of companies selected to pitch at the event, which will be held in Charlotte on Nov. 20, and three Charlotte startups have made the cut so far:
- Honeyfi, an app that helps couples manage their finances together.
- Payzer, which creates cloud and mobile software products for specialty trade contractors that provide everything a contractor needs to run his or her business.
- uBack, which seeks to transform the philanthropy industry through digital technologies, creating a centralized, digital ecosystem where all players can connect, engage and transact within seconds.
Local accelerator Queen City Fintech is organizing the conference and will accept applications for a few remaining pitch slots until Friday, Oct. 27.
The goal of the event is to showcase the talent and innovation that exists in the Southeast. The conference will also serve as Demo Day for Class 7 of Queen City Fintech, which invites startups from around the world to spend 12 weeks incubating in the Charlotte and Southeast ecosystem.
