Kingsmen Software unveils new, 16,000-square-foot HQ at Camp North End

Charlotte tech firm Kingsmen Software has officially moved into its upgraded headquarters space at Camp North North End.

The software-development company opened its 16,000-square-foot office at 1801 N. Graham St., Suite 310. Founded a decade ago, Kingsmen innovates custom software products for various customers across the financial services, fintech and health-care markets.

The company’s enhanced space will not only help foster the growth of its team, but also put more focus on community outreach, said Rashmili Vemula, strategic marketing manager at Kingsmen. It plans to host events, conferences and industry meet-ups.

The space features collaborative workstations, a podcast recording studio, a 12-foot video wall, 1,500-square-foot mezzanine, and a speakeasy pub, Kingsmen says. There is also outdoor seating and work stations for employees to enjoy.

CBJ previously reported the move would double Kingsmen’s office space, which holds the same industrial feel as its former home. The company previously operated out of a 7,800-square-foot space in uptown, at 500 W. Fifth St., for nearly eight years.

Greg Hart, chief financial officer and founding partner at Kingsmen, has said the upfit was expected to total about $2 million.

“It was a long time coming, but we had to move into a new space that was just larger. We were growing,” said Vemula.

Kingsmen’s headquarters can be found in the northern section of the 140,000-square-foot Gamma Goat building, which opened at Camp North End in the summer of 2020. The company worked with Redline Design Group to create the space, which will house all of Kingsmen’s 43 employees.

“We spend so much of our time, maybe on a project with clients, that we might not get to hang out with our teammates that much, so it's nice to have a common area for everyone to go to, whether that's during the day or after work,” Vemula said.

The Gama Goat Building is in Camp North End’s Keswick District, which is also home to: Google Fiber; Centene Corp.; CloudGenera; Rent EBoards Charlotte; YVY Fitness; Windy O’Connor Art + Home; food stalls Bleu Barn North End, La Caseta, Plant Joy and Sara; and Fitteds hat shop.
