Southern Computer Warehouse, a software and technology service provider, is now the first official value-added reseller of NASCAR.

The multiyear partnership will provide NASCAR access to the Marietta, Georgia-based company’s more than 1 million IT hardware and software products in order to leverage technology into the industry.

The move is part of NASCAR’s “Technology Partner Platform,” a commitment to evolve the racing industry through technology innovation. The initiative was created in August 2021 for tech leaders to present new ideas and solutions to the organization. Over 30 companies participated in the program’s inaugural event at Daytona International Speedway including Xfinity, Comcast Business, Verizon and Amazon Web Services.

“I’ve been a fan of NASCAR and have been frustrated that tech wasn't more involved sponsoring cars and drivers,” said Joseph Gabriel, founder and CEO of SCW. “The idea of SCW was focused on being outside the city center, and I thought ‘What a great match for NASCAR’. A few months ago I approached them with how we could be more involved and then soon became an official sponsor."

SCW will also be teaming up with NASCAR's “iRacing in a College” series, where 40 students will compete with three winners per race for a chance to win scholarships and SCW prize packs.

SCW is a reseller of technology products and solutions serving education, health care and government. It has manufacturing partnerships with over 3,000 brands. The company provides customer care and project-specific solutions in addition to recycling laptops, desktops, network equipment, computer hardware and printers.

“SCW brings a vast array of technology products and solutions to NASCAR as a successful value-added reseller in the tech industry,” said Jeff Wohlschlaeger, NASCAR vice president and chief sales officer, in a press release. “Through this partnership, we’re able to expand our Technology Partner Platform, encouraging additional collaboration with our partners as we help shape the direction of the sport’s future.”

Founded in 1994, SCW has 52 employees nationwide, with over 40 of them based in the metro Atlanta area.
