BatteryXchange founders Desmond Wiggan and Aubrey Yeboah have been busy.
The tech startup is finally ready for a full market launch of its flagship product -- fast-charging battery kiosks.
BatteryXchange is a fast-charging battery solution that makes it easy for users to locate portable batteries and for local businesses to provide battery kiosks for their customers.
On Oct. 6, Wiggan, Yeboah and the rest of their team will host the company's first virtual summit to show investors, supporters and the local tech community what they've been up to over the last seven months. The event will include background on how BatteryXchange got its start, demos of its tech, new product reveals and information on current and future crowdfunding efforts.
"It's been a long time coming, as far as being able to really showcase what our business model and technology are all about," Wiggan said. "We’ve been a bit stifled in the past because we didn’t have our tech built out to where it was automated... Thanks to the money we received from our Crowdfund, we've been able to build that out, and now we have it."
Through crowdfunding efforts, the startup has been able to raise nearly $115,000 from 91 investors since launching in 2018.
"The idea behind the summit is, we have so many supporters, and wanted to bring everybody in the room and do an official product launch and talk about what we've been up to," he said. "We've been working hard, head down, and trying to make sure our product was fully ready for market."
