Charlotte Inno kicked off its first event in style at Heist Brewery on Aug. 8 for its Inno-Troduction.

The sold-out celebration was an opportunity for the Charlotte Inno team, ecosystem partners, community members, readers, the curious and more to mingle, network and connect under one roof — as well to learn more about what Charlotte Inno is and what it will offer the community [Editor's Note: To read more about Charlotte Inno, it's mission and more in this post].

Additionally, the event included an opportunity for attendees to consider the future of the Charlotte ecosystem; what the community is missing; and what needs to change on three "question" boards across the venue. Responses included "increasing access to capital" (as to what the city needs more of); "making it clear that there's more for startups that aren't just fintech-related" (as to what needs to change); and "bright!" (as to the nature of Charlotte's future).

This evening could not have been the success it was without you, dear attendees and readers, showing up and engaging so powerfully.

Lastly, we would be remiss not to thank our founding partners: OrthoCarolina, EY, the City of Charlotte, and Carolina Fintech Hub. We are equally as grateful to our supporting sponsors Tresata, NC IDEA, Dualboot Partners.

We hope to see you at our next event, "Intro to the Startup Community" on Aug. 21 at Packard Place.
