Charlotte startup CreativeCo announced its first two investments last month.
The growth equity studio, which launched earlier this year by Christian Czentye, Artem Orlov and Travis Parsons, participated in a $6 million funding for Atlanta-based SingleOps. The round was led by Five Elms Capital, according to an announcement on CreativeCo's website.
The funding was the first of two from the company in late April, the announcement said. The second investment was Charlotte startup RentReady, a full-service partner for onsite apartment staff as a single-source for all turn services.
"These two investments were made in conjunction with the first close of our new fund. With this closing, we’re excited to be moving our growth equity studio vision forward," the announcement said. "We’re actively seeking investments in early-growth stage business cloud companies that demonstrate vision and creativity, strong product and technology, and growth with capital efficiency."
CreativeCo declined a request for additional comment.
CreativeCo says it invests in seed and Series A companies that are capital efficient with focus on revenue, low burn rate and a path to profitability. The fund plans to invest in markets like Charlotte, Atlanta and Dallas, with investment sizes ranging from $250,000 to $750,000.
In addition to its founders, CreativeCo's operating leadership is UX Director Roman Dubik, Director Ashley Gautreaux, CTO Alex Gorkunov, Creative Director Anton Nikitin, Vice President of Operations Anton Pogodin and Vice President of Engineering Ilya Vesov.
The team has worked together for years across multiple software companies — with a track record of founding, operating, growing and financing business cloud companies, CreativeCo said.
