Buffalo-based tech company gets acquired by Texas business

A national software company has acquired a Buffalo-based technology business.

Austin, Texas-based Epicor, which has business software products aimed at retail, service, manufacturing and distribution industries, recently announced it has acquired Kyklo.

Kyklo, with an office at 737 Main St., Buffalo, provides product information management and lead generation solutions to help sales for distributors and manufacturers.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition will accelerate Epicor’s vision to transform traditional enterprise resource planning to a system based on action and insight, according to a news release. The combined Kyklo portfolio amplifies Epicor’s commerce offering.

Kyklo was founded in 2014 and raised an $8.5 million round of venture capital in late 2020. The company, a previous Inno Fire award winner, had 13 full-time equivalent employees in 2022.

Epicor has 13 offices in locations such as Cleveland and Cincinnati, Ohio; Minneapolis; and Philadelphia, according to on its website.
