A nonprofit that supports entrepreneurs in Upstate New York has a new leader.

Upstate Venture Connect recently named Olivia Goldstein CEO of the Little Falls, New York-based nonprofit. Previous CEO Nasir Ali is now chairman of the organization’s board.

The nonprofit, founded in 2010, provides intelligence, leadership and network building opportunities for Upstate New York entrepreneurs. The group supports about 700 businesses through invite-only gatherings and making personalized introductions.

Goldstein, who is based in the Buffalo area, was previously COO of Upstate Venture Connect. She is also vice president of StartFast, a Syracuse-based group that last year finished raising $20 million in its second fund to go toward investments, according to her Linkedin.

She has over a decade of experience working in and with startup companies, being an exited tech founder and VC investor herself.
