They’re also this year’s Inno Fire Awards winners. For the second year in a row, Buffalo Inno has selected 10 startups to honor. Awardees were chosen by our editorial team based on factors including growth, innovation, raising funds and potential.
Running a startup is never easy, but the past few years have brought on particularly difficult challenges. All the more reason to celebrate local startups still making moves.
This year’s winners are:
- BetterMynd, an online therapy tool for college students
- Big Wheelbarrow, has developed supply chain software that creates a unified view of suppliers, aggregators and logistics for local food
- Braidbabes, provides at-home, on-demand braiding services
- Ellicottville Greens is a modular, organic farming startup
- Garwood Medical Devices, which has developed technology to treat infections on metallic orthopedic implants
- Jerry, which is building a car ownership “super app”
- PostProcess Technologies, which develops solutions for the additive manufacturing industry
- Squire, a business management software platform for independent barbers
- Strayos, whose core software platform uses artificial intelligence to map underlying geological conditions for mining operators
- Wellconnected, which has created a web-based platform for community-based organizations
