The results are in: Tackle.io is among the top 20 fastest-growing technology businesses in North America.
That’s according to the 2022 Deloitte Technology Fast 500, which honors innovative, quick-growing private and public companies from across the continent. The ranking, in its 28th year, is based on submitted applications and public company database research to determine percentage fiscal-year revenue growth over a three-year period.
Tackle.io ranked 17th on the list, with 7,977% revenue growth from fiscal 2018 to 2021.
The cloud marketplace unicorn has a remote workforce but a growing team in Buffalo around CEO John Jahnke, an Orchard Park resident. As of late last year, there were 17 “Tacklers” working in Western New York. Now, that number is up to 31.
The company has 310 total employees.
Jahnke got his bachelor’s in business from Buffalo State College and his MBA in management from the University at Buffalo, according to his LinkedIn.
“It has been a wild ride and we are beyond thankful to our customers, partners and most importantly every #tackler who all work so hard to delight our customers and help them build and scale their cloud GTM's,” he said in a LinkedIn post about the Deloitte list. “We are only just getting started and look forward to seeing what the next three years hold.”
Vir Biotechnology Inc., a San Francisco-based life sciences company, topped Deloitte’s list with revenue growing 125,138% from fiscal 2018 to 2021.
Honorable mentions from Upstate New York include AeroSafe Global, which ranked No. 190, and CEIPAL, which came in at No. 370. Both are based in Rochester.
AeroSafe Global, a life sciences company that provides cold chain services for the sustainable delivery of biopharmaceuticals, grew its revenue 774% from fiscal 2018 to 2021.
CEIPAL, a scalable software as a service platform that automates front- and back-office operations for staffing companies, increased its revenue by 371% from fiscal 2018 to 2021.
