Jon Williams founded OSC Holdings in 1997 and grew it into a national construction firm, specializing in brownfield redevelopment and environmental remediation.

Now he's stepping down as CEO and president of the company he built to focus on Viridi Parente, the lithium ion battery startup he founded several years ago.

Williams will remain on the OSC Holdings board. He will be replaced as president and CEO by John Yensan, who was president of OSC's U.S.-based specialty contracting segment. Yensan will now oversee Ontario Specialty Contracting, OSC Equpiment and Manufacturing Services and OSC Constructors.

Viridi Parente is a technology company that builds lithium ion battery packs for various uses, including in electric vehicles. The firm recently completed a $6 million expansion at its Delavan Avenue headquarters, a former automotive factory, and now occupies 190,000 square feet at the site.

Williams also recently hired Steve Finch, former plant manager of the General Motors Tonawanda Engine Plant, to help scale its manufacturing.
