JMS Technical Solutions is pulling up roots on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and moving to Seneca One Tower.
The tech staffing firm also announced that it has hired Jacob Lamos as vice president who will focus on capturing marketshare in Buffalo. JMS, which has 12 employees overall and three in Buffalo, has done most of its business in New York City.
The firm “is now focused on providing a local touch to companies in the Buffalo and surrounding areas,” said Joel Shapiro, founder and CEO. “With that, a move to Seneca One was a must along with a new hire that is spearheading their efforts to grow and expand in the Buffalo market.”
JMS will be rooted in Serendipity Labs on the 29th floor and plans to triple its local headcount by end of 2022.
Led by Washington, D.C.-based developer Douglas Jemal, Seneca One has become the epicenter of Buffalo’s technology scene, hosting M&T Bank’s sprawling Tech Hub, operations centers for tech-enabled firms Odoo and AML RightSource, 43North, PCI Technologies, Lighthouse Technology Services and others.
The idea is to surround tech employees with a vibrant environment that includes living, shopping and eating.
