Kyklo will move in August into much-expanded headquarters space in downtown Buffalo.

The startup – which moved its corporate headquarters from Bangkok to Buffalo last year – will set up shop on the third floor of 737 Main St.

The 5,400-square-foot space was already built out with an impressive set of characteristics that befit a modern tech facility, said Ryan Francis, Kyklo chief of staff. It has hardwood floors, brick walls, floor-to-ceiling windows and exposed ductwork and ceilings throughout.

The company’s Start-Up NY tax breaks designation, which was key in convincing Kyklo to come to Buffalo, will be transferred to the space.

“It will be a good space to continue our run of growth, and it was move-in ready,” Francis said.

Kyklo builds software tools for distributors in the electrical and automation products. The company raised $8.5 million in venture capital in November 2020 to fuel its growth. Kyklo has 11 employees in Buffalo and is actively hiring for six more positions here.

The company is moving out of the University at Buffalo’s Gateway Building, where it had 1,680 square feet.

Francis said business has been strong in the first half of 2021.

“We have some unique opportunities that we’re tackling right now with some very big companies that could really accelerate our projections and our growth,” he said. “We’re focused on ending the year strong and also, if we can land these opportunities in a good place, it will send Kyklo on a whole new path.”
