What the company does: Created a web-based platform for community-based organizations

Wellconnected is all about, well, connecting.

The startup, founded in 2021, aims to be an all-in-one technological solution to bridge communication gaps in health care and improve collaboration between community members, funding agencies and community-based organizations.

The business is making further connections through adding customers, technical pathways and a partnership. Wellconnected services close to 200 medical practices and hundreds of community agencies in Western and Upstate New York.

Based on its current user base pipeline, it expects to triple its customers by the end of this year, said CEO Duane Conners.

The company is working on adding technical pathways over the next couple months that include focusing on electronic medical records integrations and regional analytics to support grant-funding institutions.

About a month ago, the startup integrated DrFirst’s Backline platform into its technology. The platform is a HIPPA-compliant patient provider communication platform that includes a telehealth component and the ability to text or email directly to patients’ families and share documents.

“In an effort to drive better insights into what might be impacting your own health or your community’s health and allowing to have that information to connect to resources and design better interventions has aways been our goal,” Conners said.
