Kyklo was part of the migration of technology companies to Buffalo during the pandemic – attracted by affordability, the growing tech community and the Start-Up NY tax breaks program.
The company didn't just establish an office here but moved headquarters from Bangkok to Buffalo, which also serves as its North American hub for sales, marketing and customer success. CEO Remi Ducrocq moved to Buffalo in the process.
Now the startup is taking off.
“2021 was our highest sales year and lowest churn ever,” chief of staff Ryan Francis said. “We went from one product to four products, which gave us a much larger addressable market, and we’re seeing great success with our product launches.”
Kyklo, which raised an $8.5 million round of venture capital in late 2020, is in the process of expanding its 12-person team in Buffalo to about 25.
The company is also settling into new headquarters – a 5,400-square-foot space on Main Street in downtown Buffalo. Construction to turn the space into a modern tech facility is underway.
“Our target is triple-digit growth numbers on a year-to-year basis,” Francis said. “We had a very good year last year primarily off one product and now we’re seeing higher traction with our new offerings. It’s too much for our 12-person team in Buffalo so our hiring plans align with our growth.”
