The Business School at Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced a new initiative to improve the accessibility of its graduate programs and meet growing market demands.

Under the initiative, tuition for certain programs is being streamlined and reduced. These changes are part of a larger effort under WPI’s 2021–2026 strategic plan, “Lead with Purpose,” which addresses accessibility and affordability to support a thriving community of diverse learners and doers.

“In this increasingly competitive business world, there is a pressing need for STEM professionals who also have strong business acumen and management skills,” says the Rev. Debora Jackson, dean of The Business School at WPI.

“This initiative will enable a greater number of students to access our graduate programs, see a return on their investment even sooner and be well positioned to advance their careers.”

Data from the Future of Jobs Survey conducted by the World Economic Forum in 2020 shows the top 20 jobs require a mix of technology and business skills. These roles include data analysts and scientists, business development professionals and fin-tech engineers. Additionally, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects STEM occupations will see an 11% increase by 2030.

Among its graduate programs, The Business School offers a master of business administration and master of science degrees in business analytics, innovation with user experience, information technology, and operations and supply chain analytics.

A leader in STEM education and research, WPI recognizes that technology and business are inextricably linked. And as the home of the Business School for engineers and scientists, WPI is preparing students with the management skills needed to become leaders in their fields and take tomorrow’s innovations to market.

The new tuition rates are in effect and apply to current students.

The Business School at WPI is a STEM-focused school that develops adaptive leaders who shape the world at the intersection of business, technology and people. We are the business school for engineers, scientists and changemakers. Start exploring our programs today.
