  • Meat delivery startup ButcherBox made its first acquisition since its launch after purchasing Truffle Shuffle.  
  • Novartis acquired Mariana Oncology, a Watertown cancer treatment startup for $1 billion upfront. Mariana is eligible for up to $750 million in potential milestone payments. 
  • Cambridge-based Akamai Technologies signed a $450 million deal to buy Noname Security, a San Jose-based firm with a valuation of over $1 billion in 2021.
  • Arbor Biotechnologies in Cambridge acquired gene-editing firm Serendipity Biosciences. 
  • Avangrid Inc., the co-owner of Vineyard Wind, agreed to be acquired by its majority shareholder, Iberdrola S/A. 
  • Biogen acquired the San Francisco startup Human Immunology Biosciences for $1.15B upfront. The acquisition could involve up to $650M in milestone payments.
  • Watertown's Orna Therapeutics, a circular RNA startup, acquired Cambridge-based ReNAgade Therapeutics.
  • DraftKings acquired Jackpocket, the largest lottery app in the U.S, for $750 million.
  • Akili Inc., a Boston-based therapeutic video game maker, merged with Virtual Therapeutics.
