What a night! On Tuesday, BostInno hosted its annual Fire Awards in downtown Boston. For the second year in a row — after a brief hiatus due to the pandemic — BostInno’s Fire Awards brought together a sold-out crowd of founders, investors and ecosystem supporters.
More than 200 attendees gathered at the W Boston Hotel on Stuart Street to celebrate the 50 Fire Awards honorees and to learn who the winners would be in each of nine categories, what BostInno calls its "Blazers."

The 50 honorees represent startups, innovators and organizations leading Boston’s innovation ecosystem. They are selected based on nominations and were chosen by a committee of judges from the local innovation community. Criteria included recent successes in raising investment interest and funds, launching new products, bringing in new customers, growing their Boston footprint and supporting the local community and innovation ecosystem. The Inno Fire honorees and Blazer companies are profiled here.
Boston Business Journal and BostInno Executive Editor Doug Banks opened the evening, and BostInno Reporter Hannah Green presented the awards.
The event was sponsored by Uwill and Truist Bank and BostInno partnered with the W Hotel/Westin Copley Place.
The chosen Inno Blazers in each category were:
- Cleantech: Boston Metal
- Consumer Goods: Moxie Scrubs

- Fintech: Origin
- Foodtech/Agtech: Divert
- Life Sciences: Orna Therapeutics
- Medtech/Healthtech: Cohere Health
- Software (Earlier-stage): Modulate
