- Biogen Inc. is paying $7.2 billion to buy the Texas-based rare disease company Reata Pharmaceuticals Inc.
- Infinity Pharmaceuticals Inc., a Cambridge biotech, laid off most of its staff in the wake of a failed merger agreement.
- GreenLight Biosciences’ year-long run on the public markets ended after its acquisition by a group of investors led by Fall Line Capital.
- Beacon Biosignals, a machine learning-powered analytics company, acquired Dreem, a Paris-based at-home sleep monitoring company. The Boston company said this acquisition expands its clinical trial assessment capabilities.
- Cisco Systems Inc. intends to acquire Oort, a Boston startup known for its identity threat detection and response technology. Oort founder Matt Caulfield told BostInno this acquisition was like a homecoming. Caulfield worked for Cisco for a decade before founding Oort.
- Korro Bio is set to combine with Frequency Therapeutics Inc. in what amounts to a mechanism for Korro to hit the public markets.
- Thermo Fisher Scientific is buying Waltham-based healthcare data provider CorEvitas for $912.5 million.
- Artemis, a Boston-based private equity firm, acquired SightLine Applications, a developer of image processing electronics and software products.
