After IntelyCare reorganized its business structure just over a month ago, the company has confirmed to BostInno that the restructuring resulted in layoffs.

The Quincy-based company, founded in 2016, aims to help modernize healthcare work by giving nurses more flexibility and helping providers manage more versatile shifts.

IntelyCare would not provide any details about the number of employees impacted by the layoffs. BostInno found at least 30 former IntelyCare employees who shared on LinkedIn that their position was eliminated during this recent company restructuring.

“As a policy, we do not provide details regarding our business decisions but we can confirm that the affected employees all received separation packages that included severance, extended healthcare benefits, and job placement assistance,” the company said in a statement.

In a May profile for the Business Journal’s Fast 50 Awards, IntelyCare reported it had 400 employees. IntelyCare was 3rd on this year’s list, which ranks the fastest-growing companies in Massachusetts. The Quincy company reported revenue growth of 740% between 2019 and 2022.

IntelyCare did not file a WARN notice with the state ahead of its layoffs. Companies with 100 or more full-time employees are required to file WARN notices in advance of major layoffs, but only if the layoffs include a worksite closing that will affect 50 or more employees, or when a mass layoff will impact at least 50 employees and one-third of the worksite’s total workforce.

The company told BostInno that its “network of more than 35,000 nurses is unaffected," adding, "we continue to make strategic hires in response to market demand.”

Another nurse staffing startup, Waltham-based connectRN, also recently reduced its workforce. The company told BostInno it eliminated about 20% of its positions. Before its layoffs, connectRN had about 283 employees with 131 of those employees based in Massachusetts.

“Like many health tech companies in our space, taking steps toward sustainable growth post-Covid is what we are focused on,” connectRN said in a statement.
