How to Pick a Life Science Incubator: At this town hall, biotech startup founders will reveal what they wished they had known before picking their first laboratory spaces, and discuss those ideas with the architects and developers presently building out labs. This free event is at CIC Cambridge from 6-8 p.m.

Friday, June 9

Massachusetts High Technology Council's 2023 Annual Meeting: This year's annual meeting theme of competitiveness, which the MHTC says is of paramount importance as we work towards rehabilitating the state's declining business climate and preserving our competitive standing compared to other states. Speakers include Gov. Maura Healey and outgoing chair Robert Reynolds, CEO and president of Putnam Investments. The luncheon will be held at the Seaport Hotel Boston and tickets are $150.

Entrepreneur + Small Business Coffee Networking: Join Innovation Studio at Roxbury Innovation Center to connect with other entrepreneurs and small business owners. Stop by between 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. to take part in the free networking session.

FoodHack Boston | Precision Fermentation — Future of Nutrition?: Meet other members of the food business industry at this event at Greentown Labs. The evening will include guest speakers from TurtleTree, Harmony Baby Nutrition and Mori and a pitch session for people launching new products, looking for team members or new roles and more. The event is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. It’s free to attend but registration is required.

BlueScopeX Presents Buildings of the Future Accelerator Demo Day: The Buildings of the Future Accelerator has been working with nine innovative companies in a six-week accelerator designed to transform the building industry. This event, hosted by MIT Corporate Relations in collaboration with the MIT Startup Exchange, showcases the 2023 cohort. This event is free and goes from 4-7 p.m. at MIT.

Thursday, June 15

Tufts University Bluetech Innovation Day: The Bluetech Innovation Day will bring together members of the bluetech community to discuss the state of the industry, cutting-edge research, and the latest innovation and investment trends shaping the future of our oceans. Topics will include marine-AI , offshore wind and more.The event kicks off with a keynote from Yvonne Hao, Massachusetts’ secretary of economic development. Tickets are $50 for this all-day event.

Thursday, June 15

The Generative AI Conference for AI Innovators: This conference is for entrepreneurs and AI executives and will feature sessions on topics like building defensibility in generative AI, what's next after LLMs and legal issues with generative content. This conference is from 2-7 p.m. at the Microsoft New England Research and Development Center in Cambridge. It’s free to attend.

Tuesday, June 20

Startup & Investment Opportunities in Advanced Materials & Manufacturing: This meeting hosted by TiE Boston will offer an opportunity to dive into a discussion of both the pipeline of current academic and industry research as well as what VCs and other investors are seeking in the advanced manufacturing and related deep-tech space. The two-hour event starts at 5:30 p.m. at Venture Café Cambridge. Tickets are free.

Guppy Tank — General Biologics: Harvard's Office of Technology Development and LabCentral will host the latest event in the Guppy Tank series, where Harvard life-science innovators pitch their super-early-stage concepts to a panel of entrepreneurs and investors for constructive, in-depth feedback. Come from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at LabCentral to hear the presentation, learn from experts on startup formation, and participate in giving audience feedback. The event is accompanied by a reception with food and drinks.
