Wednesday, April 5

Artdacity 2023 LIVE (S3E2) — Blackness in Tech: Artdacity is a conversational style series that explores the intersections of the creative economy, civic engagement, and corporate communities that impact Black and Brown culture across New England.The upcoming Artdacity event focuses on Blackness in Tech. Black techies are creatives too. From coding to engineering, they share a creative process to solve problems and create meaning for everyday people. This episode will focus on the importance of Black representation, experiences, and language in tech. The episode will be held in-person in front of a free, ticketed audience from 6-8 p.m. at Odessa.

Monday, April 10

Tough Tech Goes Global: Leaders from Commonwealth Fusion Systems, Locus Robotics, and ST Engineering Ventures will speak at The Engine about taking tough tech global, and share advice for anyone about to take the plunge. The event will have a panel, Q&A, and networking over food and drinks. Register for this free evening event.

2023 MIT Climate & Energy Prize — Final: The top climate entrepreneurs from Europe and the United States will come together to compete for more than $100,000 in non-dilutive funding. This is the culmination of a months-long journey for some of the most promising startups in climate entrepreneurship. Attendees can expect to hear from thought leaders in climate and energy, participate in informative panels, and watch live pitches from the finalists. The Engine will host this day-long event. Tickets cost $20 per person.

Thursday, April 13

Sustainable Blockchain Summit Boston: This event will bring together experts and curious minds from ReFi, Energy Systems, Carbon Markets, and Cryptoeconomics to discuss and collaborate on projects that align the global economy with the natural world. Topics will include transparency in carbon offsets, decarbonizing crypto and more. The summit starts at 9 a.m. and is held at The Tower: A Longwood Venue. Ticket prices are by donation. 

Saturday, April 15

HarvardXR 2023 Inaugural Conference: This is the first ever conference focusing on extended reality (VR/XR) at Harvard University. The goal is to provide a platform for students, researchers, practitioners, entrepreneurs to discuss how XR is shaping the future across different industries. The program will delve into the history, present and the future of XR, how we can leverage emerging technologies and challenges in the future. Tickets for the public cost $50. The all-day event will take place on Harvard’s Cambridge campus.

Tuesday, April 19

The Sequel To The Story: Fireside chat event featuring the founder journey of Oana Manoloche and the Sequel team. Learn from the pivots and growth trajectory behind the rebrand from Introvoke to Sequel, the expansion from Boston to San Francisco and global growth and the lessons learned for up and coming entrepreneurs. District Hall Boston will host this event at noon to 1 p.m. Grab a free ticket here.

Prepare 4 VC Accelerator Demo Day and Community Celebration: Prepare 4 VC operates a 12-week accelerator program to get early-stage startups investment-ready for their pre-seed and seed rounds of capital. Join them in hearing four presentations from its graduating cohort and connect with each of the founders to learn more about their ventures. This event will be held in person at 5-7 p.m. at Venture Cafe in Cambridge. Reserve a spot for free.

MassChallenge 2023 FinTech Mid-Program Mixer: Visit the MassChallenge HQ to meet and network with successful fintech entrepreneurs, community and challenge partners, fintech mentors, experts, judges and alumni, and others from the MassChallenge and New England fintech ecosystem, whilst enjoying light refreshments and snacks. This mixer is free to attend and takes place from 4-6 p.m.

TechCrunch Early Stage Conference: Top founders, VCs and startup ecosystem experts lead workshops and roundtable discussions on topics like funding, product-market fit, pitch decks and growth marketing. A founder ticket to this all-day event costs $449 and a student ticket is $99.

​​Analytics & Industry Symposium 2023 at Boston College: The inaugural Analytics & Industry Symposium will bring together business leaders and other stakeholders to discuss the latest trends and best practices in bringing together business, analytics, and technology. The event will kick off with a keynote speech from Mojgan Lefebvre, EVP, chief technology and operations officer at Travelers Insurance, followed industry thought leaders, sharing their insights on the most pressing topics in the field, such as how analytics can be efficiently integrated with other stakeholders to transforming business, policy and social good. The full-day event kicks off at 8 a.m and is free to attend.

Navigating your Career — Neurodivergent in Tech: Come to Formlabs’ office in Somerville for a night of networking and conversation with professionals who have firsthand experience navigating the tech industry and understand the unique challenges neurodivergent adults face in the workplace. The free event starts at 5:30 p.m.
