Wednesday, March 8

The Future of Unicorn Ideas with James Currier: Why do some ventures succeed when others don’t? What tactics do unicorn founders employ to achieve that magical status? Join five-time founder, angel investor, network-effects expert, and HBS alum James Currier to learn how to think bigger and take a venture further. Harvard Innovation Labs will host this free evening event.

Monday, March 13

Start Smart Class: Start Smart is an interactive virtual class for entrepreneurs who are serious about launching a startup. CEOs, successful entrepreneurs, and others who’ve seen and done it all before are invited guest speakers and an integral component of the learning experience! This is the first night of a 9-week program. The program costs $585 for members and $705 for nonmembers.

Thursday, March 16

BostInno Startups to Watch: Each year BostInno identifies the startups that are on the verge of something big. This year's event will feature a conversation with some of the hottest Boston startups of the coming year. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear about their entrepreneurial journey and how they’re managing their business. The event starts at 4:30 p.m. at Aloft Boston Seaport District. A single ticket costs $50. Learn more.

Thursday, March 16

2023 MIT Climate & Energy Prize (US Semi-Final): The MIT Climate & Energy Prize competition seeks to move the world closer to net zero carbon emissions by empowering ambitious student entrepreneurs to solve the world’s most difficult climate-related challenges. During the semifinal round, teams of student entrepreneurs will present their business plans and prototypes to a panel of judges, who will then evaluate the teams. Anyone can attend this afternoon event at Greentown Labs.

Friday, March 17

Techstars Startup Weekend Dartmouth: Learn how to think, work, and build like a startup in 54 hours. Techstars’ Startup Weekend is an exciting and immersive foray into the world of startups. Over an action-packed three days, you’ll meet the very best mentors, investors, co-founders and sponsors to show you how to get more done faster — and, maybe even start that business you've been thinking about. The Charlton College of Business at UMass Dartmouth will host this event. General admission tickets are $20.

Tuesday, March 21

NEXPO '23: Join the Northeastern Entrepreneurship Community at NEXPO ’23 to interact with over 35 tabling ventures and organizations that make up Northeastern’s global entrepreneurial community. This year’s theme is “Entrepreneurship for Everyone,” which highlights the diversity of thought and background in entrepreneurship. This event is free to attend and takes place at the Curry Student Center from 4-6 p.m.

Saturday, March 25

TEDxBabsonCollege: TEDxBabsonCollege is an independently organized event by Babson College which brings global talent to its entrepreneurial campus. Speakers this year include authors, entrepreneurs-in-residence, life coaches, current students and more. General admission tickets cost $25. The event takes place in the Knight Auditorium and starts at 10 a.m.

Sunday, March 26

Harvard Undergraduate Venture Capital Group Entrepreneurship Summit: The summit aims to inspire students, investors, and entrepreneurs to pursue their entrepreneurial passions in building and leading startups and investment firms. Attendees will hear from founders of unicorn startups, CEOs of large corporations, and prominent investors in various sectors in a combination of plenary and advanced track sessions spanning five hours. Early-bird tickets open to all are available for $20. The event starts at noon at the Boston Park Plaza.

Thursday, March 30

EnergyBar — Go Make 2022 Final Showcase: Join Greentown Labs for an EnergyBar focused on celebrating the culmination of Go Make 2022, a startup-corporate partnerships accelerator focused on decarbonizing supply chains. The free event includes networking, speakers and a showcase. Greentown Labs will host this event from 5-8 p.m.

Thursday, March 30

The Future of AI and Diversity with Rana el Kaliouby: Join Egyptian-American scientist, entrepreneur, investor, and AI thought leader Rana el Kaliouby for a candid conversation about her growth as a leader and the harsh realities many women face when building a venture. She’ll also share her call for founders to be intentional in designing diverse teams to develop and deploy AI for their companies. Harvard Innovation Labs will host this free evening event.

Thursday, March 30

Graduating from an Incubator Program & Building Your Own Lab: Meet lab fit-out experts, learn about resources, and hear a startups experience graduating from the M2D2 life sciences incubator and building their own lab. The UMass Lowell iHub will host this free event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
