Agrify Corp., a cultivation and extraction solutions company for the cannabis and hemp industry, announced it has acquired Lab Society for $8 million.

Foxborough-based Thrive, a provider of NextGen managed services, has acquired Preemo, a Miami-based technology services firm. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Intellia Therapeutics, a clinical-stage genome editing company, acquired Rewrite Therapeutics Inc., a private biotechnology company developing DNA writing technologies. Intellia said it will pay Rewrite shareholders $45 million in an upfront payment, with an additional $155 million for pre-specified research and regulatory approval milestones through Intellia common stock and cash. Additional details were not disclosed.

Battery maker SES AI Corp., which has about 100 people in its Woburn headquarters, is one of the first local tech companies to go public in 2022 after completing a reverse merger, that was valued at about $3.6 billion when the deal was announced last year.

Dive Technologies Inc., a Boston-based subsea robotics designer and manufacturer, was acquired by Anduril Industries Inc., a defense technology company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Boston-based IDG Communications Inc. acquired Selling Simplified, a marketing-as-a-service platform that provides lead generation products, data services and analytics. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Framingham-based Rave Mobile Safety, which provides crisis communications technology, announced the acquisition of AppArmor, a developer of custom branded safety apps. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Danvers-based DemandScience, a B2B pipeline generation company, acquired Finity SA, a Swiss-based company providing AI-driven content creation and aggregation. DemandScience also announced the opening of its new European headquarters in London. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Stoughton-based Collegium Pharmaceutical Inc. acquired North Carolina-based BioDelivery Sciences International Inc. This deal will broaden Collegium's pain and neurology products portfolio. Collegium acquired BDSI for $5.60 per share in cash.

Boston-based 3Play Media acquired Captionmax, a company that provides live and recorded captioning, localization and audio description services. The acquisition includes National Captioning Canada, the largest live captioning provider in Canada and a subsidiary of Captionmax. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Boston-based Snyk, a developer security company, acquired Maryland-based Fugue, a cloud security and compliance company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Framingham-based Definitive Healthcare, a healthcare software company, acquired Analytical Wizards. Last year, Definitive Healthcare raised $420M in an IPO, making it the second largest of 2021. Terms of the recent acquisition were not disclosed.

Akamai Technologies Inc. bought cloud computing platform Linode LLC for approximately $900 million in cash.
