It's here: the annual Inc. 5000 list, featuring the fastest-growing privately held companies in the country.

Inc. ranks companies based on the percentage of their growth in revenue between 2016 and 2019. The companies on the list are all U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies — as of Dec. 31, 2019.

The top Massachusetts company on the 2020 Inc. 5000 is IntelyCare, a Quincy-based startup with an app that lets post-acute facilities hire on-demand nursing professionals. The startup raised $45 million in Series B funding in February and has been on the frontlines of the coronavirus pandemic since then, working to protect and retain the nurses on its payroll as they put their lives at risk.

IntelyCare ranked 41st on the Inc. 5000, with 7,047 percent growth between 2016 and 2019.

The runner-up in Massachusetts was Del Mar Vacations at No. 88, which provides property management and rental services on Cape Cod. (It's not clear how the pandemic has affected Del Mar Vacations, but it's worth noting that the travel industry on the Cape has struggled due to coronavirus.)
