 Mike Troiano, CMO at Actifio

Moderating the Building Boston: Scaling Talent & Culture panel will be Mike Troiano, chief marketing officer of Actifio, a hyper-growth enterprise technology company targeted at changing the way customers around the world manage their data. Prior to Actifio, Troiano served as the founding CEO of Ogilvy & Mather, and was later on the executive team of mobile content pioneer m-Qube, recognized as one of the largest Boston-based venture capital exits of 2006. In March 2014, Actifio raised a $100 million round on a valuation of $1 billion.

 Katie Burke, Director of Talent and Culture at HubSpot

Katie Burke is the director of talent and culture at HubSpot, where she oversees the company's global employment brand. 

Prior to her current role, Katie ran internal and external communications for HubSpot through its initial public offering last year, ran marketing and corporate partnerships for EXOS (formerly Athletes' Performance), and served as a director at the Glover Park Group, a political communications consultancy in Washington, DC, and New York City. Katie has an MBA from MIT Sloan and a BA from Bates College.

 Lori Russo, Head of Global Talent Acquisition at TripAdvisor

Lori leads the global talent acquisition and talent brand team for TripAdvisor

Her dynamic and driven management style contributed to her previous successes within the advertising field at both TripAdvisor and other prominent Boston companies. Her major areas of impact since joining TripAdvisor’s recruiting team in early 2014 include creation and implementation of an effective and consistent global recruitment and interviewing process, expansion and awareness of TripAdvisor’s talent brand in both local and global markets, and transformation of the recruiting organization into one that is data and analytics driven. 

 Marcy Axelrad, Senior Director of Global Talent Operations at Wayfair

Marcy leads the strategic direction of the Talent Management and Learning and Development groups, which encompass everything employee-centric, including onboarding, benefits and perks, engagement initiatives, training and development, immigration, and employee relations. Marcy joined Wayfair in 2011 as director of talent management.  Before joining Wayfair, Marcy practiced law in Boston, counseling companies on all aspects of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits and employment related contracts.

 Ryan Mack, Boston Site Lead and Engineering Manager at Facebook

Ryan leads the engineering office for Facebook in their Cambridge location. He is most well known for his work on Facebook's Timeline and on the company's photo infrastruture and MySQL. At the start of the launch of Facebook's East Coast presence Mack focused on hiring infrastructure experts to grow their Boston-based team. Before his time at Facebook, Mack was a game developer for some of Southern California's most notorious video game companies including, Rockstar and Sony Computer Entertainment. 

 Steve Vinter, Site Director at Google

Steve is responsible for the growing presence of Google in Cambridge and ensures that the quality of work is up to par and the culture of which his employees are working in is great. On top of maintaining a strong work ethic among his office, Steve also is an engineering director, responsible for developing digital publishing product such as Google eBooks and Google Currents, which gives users their favorite content from across the web in magazine format.
