Calling all innovators and investors, developers and dreamers: We’re inviting you to join us in sparking a conversation on the State of Innovation. Last year was such a success that, well, we thought we’d do it again and make the event even bigger and better. Come Thursday, June 12, 1,000 of Boston’s crop of top entrepreneurs and visionaries will crowd the Westin Waterfront for the second BostInno State of Innovation Forum.

The event will delve into four key fields: marketing and advertising, retail e-commerce, education and mobile. Each pillar will have its own diverse panel of experts weighing in on trends, and what’s to become of the industry in the next five years. Breakout sessions of specific subject matter will also be occurring throughout the afternoon.

Prepare for things to get heated, too. We’ve polled the panelists ahead of time on a number of controversial questions. During the event, their answers will be revealed for all to see, meaning that they’ll have no choice but to defend their pick and pitch the crowd on the future of the the field. To get you prepared for the event, we’ve rounded up the participants in this year’s mobile panel. Whether the matter is programmatic buying, beacons or the new Apple operating system, the following leaders have an opinion on it. Check them out below, and buy your State of Innovation ticket here.

Alec Fracesconi, President at Cantina

Fracesconi has reigned as president of the local digital product development firm since last June. Working with clients of all sizes, from fledgling startups like CO Everywhere to mature brands like Puma, Cantina spins out beautiful mobile products to delight users everywhere.

Brian Suthoff, Chief Strategy Officer and Co-founder at Localytics

As one of the co-founders of Localytics, Suthoff is acutely in tune with the performance and possibilities of apps, steering the company toward the “next big thing” in the mobile space. And it looks like he, and the rest of the team, has bet right: The mobile analytics and marketing startup tripled its revenues for the fifth year in a row in 2013, and banked $16 million in Series C in February.

Mark Kasdorf, Founder of Intrepid Pursuits

Kasdorf serves as the man behind Cambridge mobile development firm Intrepid Pursuits, helping craft and direct the creation of digital products for companies like Leaf and Adidas. He’s also responsible for founding concert discovery app Timbre, which sold this year to Seatwave.

Jennifer Lum, Co-founder of Adelphic Mobile

As a successful entrepreneur, investor and mentor, Lum is your classic tech triple threat – and then some. The Adelphic Mobile and Apricot Capital co-founder is one of the industry’s top influencers in mobile advertising.
