It's the last full month of summer, but there's plenty to do around Boston if you're doing the whole "staying at home and working" thing. There happens to be a lot of events this month for women in tech. Other event topics include virtual reality, fintech, artificial intelligence and diversity and inclusion.

Of course, we can't forget to mention that BostInno's annual BostonFest happens on August 9 at The Lawn on D, so we'll hopefully see you there.

Tuesday, August 1

Midsummer Mixed Reality (VR + AR): The Boston VR/AR Association hosts this event from 6 p.m. to 8 at ALLEY in Cambridge. Panelists include Mike Festa of Wayfair, Sarah Downey of Accomplice and John Werner of Meta. Companies providing demos include Link to VR, Meta, PTC, VirZoom and Wayfair. Detecting Bitcoin Fraud with Graphs: Edlitera hosts this event from 6 p.m. to 8 at Venture Cafe in the Cambridge Innovation Center. The event is free.

Boston Golang Project Night: This event begins at 6:30 p.m. at Google Cambridge. The event is free.

Wednesday, August 2

The Diversity Playbook with Resilient Coders: General Assembly hosts this event from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 at its 125 Summer St. location. The event is free.

Thursday, August 3

Drinks on Tap Fundraiser for Pelotonia: Raizlabs hosts this event from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 at its 50 Milk St. location. Pelotonia is an an annual bike ride event that raises money for cancer research. The event is free.

The Social, Economic and Legal Impact of AI and Automation—an Expert Panel: Cognitive Computing hosts this event starting at 6:15 p.m. at PwC’s Seaport office. Speakers include Warren Katz of Neurala, Stephen Lawrence of State Street Global and Stefanie Tellex of Brown University. The event is free.

Tuesday, August 8

PulseCheck Application Launch: Pulse@MassChallenge hosts this event from 6 p.m. to 9 at Hatch Fenway. The event is free.

Boston Amazon Web Services Meetup: This event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 at WeWork’s Saint James Avenue location. The event is free.

Product for New Technologists: General Assembly hosts this workshop from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 at its 125 Summer St. location. The speaker is Ellen Chisa, the CEO and co-founder of a stealthy dev tools company and former VP of product at Lola. The event is free.

Wednesday, August 9

BostonFest 2017: BostInno hosts this event from 6 p.m. to 10 at The Lawn on D, where the winners of BostInno’s Coolest Companies contest will be announced. Tickets range from $20 to $25.

She Geeks Out Power Hour Workshop—Sourcing Diverse Candidates Creatively: This event runs from 6 p.m. to 7:30 at Impact Hub Boston. The facilitator is Nikki Innocent, founder of advisory firm Story & Voice. The workshop costs $35.

Mass Innovation Nights 101: This event runs from 6 p.m. to 8:30 at the Samberg Conference Center in Cambridge. The event is free.

Women in Research & Science Networking Event: Amazon’s Alexa team hosts this event starting at 6 p.m. The event is free.

Thursday, August 10

Boston’s First Food Innovation Startup Tour: Branchfood hosts this event starting at 3 p.m., and it begins at CIC Boston. The event will feature speakers from Branchfood, Red’s Best, Freight Farms and Clover Food Lab. The event costs $35.

Mendix On Tour Boston: Mendix hosts this event from 2:45 p.m. through 4:45 at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf. Speakers include Gordon van Huizen of Mendix, Robin Healey of Mass State Treasury and Duane Dumont of NxStage. Find registration info here.

RAMP, InsightSquared’s inaugural three-day conference for sales operations professionals, begins at 6 p.m. and ends on Friday at noon. Speakers include Jon Hay of Boston Red Sox, Mike Wolff of Salesforce and Maria Pergolino of Apttus. Tickets cost $499.

InTeahouse CEO Roundtable Series—Winning the Startup Race: This event runs from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 at InTeahouse’s Massachusetts Avenue location. The speaker is Humon CEO Alessandro Babini. The event is free.

Brandathon: The Ad Club hosts this startup competition from 5 p.m. to 9 at Google Cambridge. Tickets cost $175.
