If the weather doesn’t bring you out of your homes, maybe this week’s BostInno Approved will. This week’s forecast features a star-studded lineup for your networking, social media and marketing needs.

Monday, February 27

FinTech Symposium 2017: Run by the Review of Banking & Financial Law, attend a panel on fintech at Boston University’s School of Law. From 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the panel will discuss four areas of fintech: cryptocurrency, crowdfunding, robo-advising and digital banking. This event is sold out.

How nonprofits can use Facebook to broadcast their impact: From 1:00 p.m. to 2:30, Tech Networks of Boston and TNB Labs invite attendees to learn about Facebook Live and optimize their impact. John Haydon, the author of “Facebook Marketing For Dummies,” will be the featured speaker. The event is held at Boston NonProfit Center at 89 South Street. It is free.

#Instasavvy: Instagram for Social Professionals: General Assembly is hosting a class geared toward social media marketing and strategy. The instructor, Melanie Cohn, is a social media manager for Dunkin’ Brands, and will be focusing on the interaction between Instagram and marketing. The class is held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 in GA Boston, and tickets are $40.

Cabin Fever | The Future of Food: Visit GA Boston from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 to learn about the entrepreneurs and executives that are innovating the food industry. Speakers include Janelle Nanos, a business reporter at Boston Globe; Lauren Abda, founder of Branchfood; and Tim Riedel, director of Marketing at ezCater. You literally get to learn about food, and if that isn’t persuasive enough: the event is free.

Let’s talk career path — From sales rep to CRO: Netbrain and the Enterprise Sales Forum hosts this event, geared toward those who want to make their way up the ladder. The CRO of MapAnything, Mike Muhlfelder, will be explaining his time in sales and revenue, and how he successfully rose the ranks. The event begins at 6 p.m., at NetBrain. Tickets are $15.

How to Speak Tech: For those of us that are bothered by the word “back end," stressed out by the word “cloud," and overwhelmed by the idea of servers, attend this informational event at Harvard Innovation Labs. From 6:00 p.m. to 8:30, non-technical founders and entrepreneurs are invited to learn the in’s and out’s from tech experts. The event is free.

A Future Shaped by Technology: BBVA and MIT Technology Review host this free event from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 at the Samberg Conference Center. Attendees will learn about transformative technologies, in fields such as biosciences, genetics and artificial intelligence. The event will be held by Jason Pontin, editor-in-chief and publisher of MIT Technology Review. It is free to attend.

MITX After Dark Featuring Rue La La: Starting at 6 p.m., visit Rue La La for some great conversation, food and networking opportunities. Speakers include Jeff Steeves and Melissa Studzinski from Rue La La’s marketing team. Attendees will learn about revolutionizing online ecommerce while sipping on drinks and enjoying complimentary food. Tickets for members are free, tickets for non-members are $20.

How General Assembly is Solving Boston’s Data Science Talent Gap: Hosted by GA Boston, this interactive evening will teach the basics of data science and analytics. Attendees will learn invaluable skills that are perfect for breaking into Boston’s data science industry, through panels, networking and presentations. The event held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00, and entry is free.

Boston Startup Funding 101 — How to Raise Capital for Your Idea: WeWork Fort Point is hosting a beginner fundraising workshop for aspiring founders. It begins at 6:30 p.m., and is geared toward individuals who want to learn more about raising money for early-stage products and companies. Nadia Shalaby, CEO of ITE Fund, will be the main speaker. The event is free.

Food + Future Design & Tinker Night — Local Startup Challenge: This meetup is held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00, for Boston’s food community and interested entrepreneurs. Food + Future will be hosting it at their Cambridge office, at 80 Broadway. The event includes an introduction from an early-stage food startup, and then problem-solving sessions and think groups. No experience is required, and it is free to attend.

Thursday, March 2

EnergyBar! March 2017: Cleantech Intern Fair: Greentown Labs hosts this networking fair at its Somerville HQ, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30. Young professionals interested in cleantech should come to network and be matched up with a startup of their interest. Be prepared to talk about renewable energy technologies and personal passions. It's free to attend.

Scientist-Entrepreneur Series: Bringing High-tech to Healthcare: Scientists Shaping Our World (SHOW) invites science professionals and lovers to attend their seminar and networking event. From 5:30 p.m. to 9, interact with life science startups, researchers and fellow technology professionals at Boston Children’s Hospital. Speakers include Fernando Albertorio, co-founder and CEO of Sunu; and Paul Bruno, co-founder and CEO of New Aegis Corporation. Tickets are $15.

Startup Stir is honoring kickass women entrepreneurs with  “an Evening of Entrepreneurship” from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00. The event is being held live around the world, including Bangkok, Bangalore and San Francisco. Among the honorees are Polina Raygorodskaya, CEO and co-founder of Wanderu, and Rica Elysee, CEO and co-founder of BeautyLynk. The event is being held at C-Space, at 290 Congress St. and entry is free.

Friday, March 3

Progressive Web Apps — A day of talks and code labs: The Boston developer community holds this free event from 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Akamai Technologies, in Cambridge. Front end developers are urged to learn about Progressive Web Apps, which optimizes modern web capabilities for an app-like user experience. Jeff Posnick, Google Sr. Developer Programs Engineer, will be the featured speaker. Along with talks, there will be a hands-on coding lab with teaching assistants. The event is free.

MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference 2017: Learn how to “elevate the game” by attending this 11th annual conference, held at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center. This year’s conference will feature the inaugural eSports live interactive event, along with multiple speakers and talks. It begins on Friday at 8:00 a.m. and runs until Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are sold out for this conference.

How To Grow Your Tribe & Build A Community: From 8:00 a.m. to 10, hang with BostonSpeaks at their monthly breakfast series for entrepreneurs.  The morning includes free breakfast, networking, and educational panel discussions. Attendees will learn the importance of making a ‘tribe’ of connections. It is held at Hatch Fenway, and it is free to attend.

Saturday, March 4

MIT Bitcoin Expo 2017: Meet the founders of million-dollar startups, cryptocurrency academics and innovative engineers at this student-run event. Attendees will learn about technical developments in cryptocurrency through panels, presentations, and networking. It is held at MIT Building 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.  General admission is $100, and student tickets are available for $5.
