AI Metrics, founded in 2018, has eight full time employees and contractors.
Here's a Q&A with Bob Jacobus, the company's cofounder and CEO.
What is the most important thing your company accomplished in 2022?
AI Metrics successfully made the transition from beta sites and research deployments to clinical patient evaluations in 2022. With that milestone achieved, the company is poised in 2023 to scale significantly.
What is a short-term and long-term goal for the company in 2023?
The company is aiming to secure its first national contract with one of the largest health systems in the U.S., a target we’ve been planning for since the company’s inception.
What can Alabama do to better support startups?
Locally sourced capital has been critical to our success thus far. We hope that our success will help attract local capital for other promising startups. We need 100 high-growth technology startups funded every year. That’s $1 billion a year investment in our state’s economy, and a significant re-allocation of capital relative to where business investment is being deployed today. The innovative ideas and research are here and ready.
